Media arts teaching resources

Media arts resources introduce primary students to the creative and communicative possibilities of screen-based and digital media — from photography and film to animation and digital storytelling.

The collection includes photography activities (composition, framing, point of view), film and video creation tasks, digital storytelling projects, animation exploration activities, and media analysis tasks that help students critically examine the images, sounds and stories they encounter in everyday media. Resources develop both creative production skills and media literacy — understanding how media texts are constructed and why those choices matter.
