This resource offers a series of interactive activities designed to help learners recognise, sequence, and understand the months of the year. Learners begin by sorting words into 'Months of the Year' and 'Not Months of the Year', reinforcing their ability to identify month names accurately.
Subsequent activities focus on ordering the months. Learners practise arranging the first six months, the last six months, and then all twelve months from January to December. These ordering tasks help solidify understanding of the calendar sequence and the duration of each month.
Additional drag-and-drop activities require learners to complete sequences by placing the correct month names into blank spaces. There are also matching tasks where learners use clues such as 'Sixth month of the year' or 'Month before September' to identify and pair each month correctly.
