Measurement and space teaching resources

Measurement and space resources develop students' ability to describe, measure and reason about the physical world — connecting mathematics to real objects, spaces and everyday situations.

The measurement side of the collection covers length, area, volume and capacity, mass, time and temperature — with resources for estimating, comparing and measuring using both informal and standard units. The space (geometry) side covers 2D shapes and 3D objects, angles, symmetry and transformations, position and location, and mapping and coordinates. Resources include hands-on measurement tasks, shape sorting and construction activities, geometry worksheets and mapping challenges.

Practical and visual by nature — ideal for getting students away from their desks and into the world. Suitable for Foundation through Year 6.
