Economics and business resources introduce primary students to the foundational ideas behind how people make decisions with money, goods and services — and how businesses and markets work.

The collection covers the difference between needs and wants, the role of consumers and producers, how goods and services are made and traded, the nature of work and different types of jobs, basic financial literacy (earning, saving, spending, budgeting) and how economic decisions affect communities. Resources include sorting activities, money maths tasks, role-play scenarios, research projects and decision-making challenges.

Connects naturally to real-world contexts students encounter every day. Suitable for Years 5–6 where economics is formally introduced, with some foundational concepts from Year 3.
