Design and technologies teaching resources

Design and technologies resources help primary students think like designers — identifying problems, generating creative solutions and making things that work.

The collection covers the design process (identify, design, make, evaluate), working with materials (paper, card, textiles, construction materials, food), using tools safely, and thinking about purpose, audience and sustainability when designing products. Resources include design brief templates, planning and evaluation scaffolds, making project guides, food technology activities and design challenges that develop creativity alongside practical skills.

Works well as project-based learning across one or more sessions. Suitable for Foundation through Year 6, with increasing complexity as students progress.
